The lift mechanism is fully mechanical. You attach any standard cordless drill to the drive shaft to raise or lower the platform. No wiring, no plug, no battery dependency on the unit itself — the system works through power outages and never becomes obsolete from a firmware change or app sunset.
The standard 4′X8′ Storage Elevator™ comes in two versions: $1,499 for 8′ to 11′ ceilings, and $1,599 for 11.5′ to 14′ ceilings. Both share the same platform size and 400-lb capacity — the only difference is the drop length to reach you in a taller space.
Most handy homeowners complete installation in about 90 minutes. You'll need a stud finder, a drill, and a helper. Detailed printed instructions are included, along with video tutorials on our installation page.
