Instead of climbing a ladder, you lower the platform down to you with a standard power drill, load it at knee or waist height, and lift everything safely to the ceiling. We recommend loading at knee or waist height; do not lower the platform all the way to the floor, so the cables stay under tension. Those cables are certified rigging cables, and the Storage Elevator is the only overhead lift with turnbuckles, so you can level the platform by hand without tools. There is no built-in motor to burn out, because your drill does the work.
